About Pawgraded

Pawgraded exists because the two biggest decisions in dog ownership — which breed, and whether to insure it — are usually made on anecdotes instead of numbers. We think prospective owners deserve better: a breed database where every trait is scored, every health risk is sourced, and every insurance premium is grounded in real rate data.

What we do

• Breed profiles. Each breed is graded across seven ownership traits and mapped to its documented health-risk profile, lifespan, and cost of care.
• Insurance intelligence. We track premiums, reimbursement terms, and exclusions across major pet insurers and connect them to breed-level risk.
• Calculators. Free tools that turn the same data into personalized answers: dog age, food portions, lifetime cost, and premium estimates.
